My Life Studying Abroad in London with Annenberg

By: Aedan Henry ’24 (USC Student Life Guest Blogger)

USC’s fantastic study abroad programs are one of the reasons that I chose the university. I had the opportunity this Spring to go to London through my Communication major at Annenberg, so I decided to finally take the leap. It’s my first time traveling outside of North America, and it’s been an absolute blast so far. If you’re considering studying abroad in a future semester, here’s what the day-to-day of the experience looks like for me and why you should try it yourself.

What’s In My Backpack?

By: Ela Rybak ‘25

I’ve had a few different bags during my college career, but my current black Coach tote is my absolute favorite! It is the perfect size to fit all of my supplies, and I often use it for non-school-related adventures as well. I have noticed that having a tote instead of a backpack makes things more easily accessible while on the go. Ultimately, I feel like my tote fits me and my life perfectly!

Anya Ball is the next rising DJ you need to check out. After feeling uninspired and unmotivated during her first semester in college, Ball turned to DJing as a new creative outlet. Watch Recommendations from a Film Major!

By: Nancy Aguilar Sanchez ‘22

I tend to be more drawn to films that are character driven, but this one is more thematically driven and does it well. It touches on themes of mental health, fame, and consumer culture. It’s an exploration and scrutiny of audience consumption, so as a viewer, you find yourself questioning why you’re watching this film and the ethics behind what you consume.

Most freshmen and sophomores live on campus because housing is guaranteed but once you reach junior year, it’s a lot less likely that you’ll get on-campus housing; lots of students find themselves living at The Lorenzo.

Missing Connections

By: Dara Udobong ‘23

Its already been more than 2 months since our return to campus, but honestly, it still feels surreal to be back. With a year and a half away from the great Tommy Trojan himself, 2 graduating classes fresh out of high school, and a new-found appreciation for life itself, everyone seems to be diving headfirst into getting the college experience.

Things To Do This Fall Break!

By: Dara Udobong ‘23

It might just be October, but I already feel like we’ve been at this for ages. Can we attribute this mid-term fatigue to their namesake exams? Or is it more of a heavier transition from online school to being in-person again? Either ways, old or new, senior or freshman, this semester has been a huge learning curve for all of us, so here are a couple of ways we think you could make this break live up to its name:
