Kickstart Your Creativity for the Spring Semester

Famous Maltese theorist Edward de Bono once said: “Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way." Its January 2020, the start of a new year and new decade, meaning a great time to try something new and jumpstart new habits, patterns, and goals. For myself, writing is my creative outlet of choice. I love expressing my opinion and telling stories with my words and encourage others to do the same. In the spirit of creativity, whatever medium you chose, here are some clubs, opportunities, and organizations to join this semester.
SC Graduate School Fair: What You Need to Know

The USC Graduate School Fair is this Thursday, October 15th, along Trousdale from 11:00 AM - 02:00 PM. Attend the fair to learn more about graduate school, and receive information from over 75 schools including Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, NYU, UCLA, and USC.
How to Prepare for the USC Career Fair

The first step to prepare for any event is to know when it is and RSVP. This Thursday from 10:00am-2:00pm, the USC Career Center is hosting their Fall Career Fair. There will be over 160 different company booths lined up across Trousdale Parkway with recruiters looking to network, collect resumes, and hire USC students. Have you ever heard of Big Data? Big Data explains that with the world’s use of technology constantly growing, the mass amount of data we produce can be organized and analyzed for key insights. Yesterday at Explore @ 4, there was a panel of five data scientists working for various companies, Dun & Bradstreet, Verizon, Netflix, KIPP, and OpenX, who use data to solve business problems.
