Look Up: Budapest
By: Judy Lee ‘17
Hey there! I’ve decided that while I’m abroad, I might as well document these once-in-a-lifetime memories through a compilation of footage I get while hopping from place to place. So with that, I introduce to you…The Look Up series, by yours truly.
Working Towards My B.A. In BsA
By: Grace Carballo ‘17
Yesterday was my first day of school in Buenos Aires at la Universidad de San Andrés, where 6 other Trojans and I will be taking our classes until our finals end in mid-July. It was a beautiful start and I have high hopes for what is yet to come. The program that USC students take, PLAS (Program of Latin American Studies), includes a number of cultural activities so this past weekend we all had the opportunity to go on a guided tour of the city and at least have a frame of reference for all it has to offer (a lot!).
The Truth About Being “That Annoying Person Studying Abroad”
By: Judy Lee ‘17
I’ve definitely been there. My older sister studied abroad in France when I was in high school and I remember her returning from her trip and complaining about the disgustingly large food portions America has. “There they go again,” we all collectively say, “just another study abroad student bragging about their trip that somehow makes them so much more special now.” Not gonna pretend that isn’t the attitude most people have, and the person I have come to sympathize with.

Questions To Ask Yourself Before You Pursue A Relationship
By: Judy Lee ‘17
Relationships—especially in college—are an endeavor on their own. As a converging point for so many different people and for so many different disciplines, it’s a lot of things on your plate. Because of its reputation for bringing couples together, sometimes the pressure can get to you in a way it didn’t before. If you’re feeling iffy about a situation regarding being in a committed relationship with someone, make sure you ask yourself these questions as part of your consideration:
10 Instagrams Photos You Probably Have if You Go to School in LA
By: Kelly Kinas ‘16
Let’s be real: it’s hard to come up with an original Instagram photo and caption these days. You think of something creative and new to you and then when you search the hashtags, everyone said the same thing! For me, it’s not a bad thing to have a common photo (what some people call “basic”). If you go to school in Los Angeles, you definitely have at least 3 of these photos on your Instagram. How many do YOU have?
A Guide To: Annenberg’s Progressive Degrees
By: Judy Lee ‘17
First thing’s first: I’m not pursuing a progressive degree. However, I was very keen on pursuing one throughout my sophomore year and did an extensive amount of research into the prospect at the time. What primarily drove me towards obtaining a progressive degree was a career panic I had concerning receiving a master’s degree. I had been hearing a lot about how having a master’s degree will increase your competitiveness in the market (especially having one at such a young age) as well as boost your starting salary. In light of this, I did more research on possible master’s I could receive from Annenberg only to stumble upon a very tempting opportunity: pursue a master’s parallel to your bachelor’s and graduate with both degrees.
Sports 360: March Madness
By: Kelly Kinas ‘16
“Why are all these people caring whether these really small schools win in March? College basketball is cool but people are like caring about every single outcome. What the hell? I always hear about March Madness but I don’t really know what it means.”

Student Organization Spotlight (SOS): Peaks and Professors
By: Kelly Kinas ‘16
Ever wondered what a professor was like outside of the classroom? Ever wondered if they’re actual people? Do you also like being active? Have you ever wished you and a cool professor could hike a trail together and talk about your hopes and dreams and hopefully get to know them better?
