Have you guys ever seen that Little Caesar’s commercial where the dad says “We’re going offffff the grid” and they turn into a caveman family? If not, I think I described it pretty accurately. If you have, we both watch too much television. Either way, this is what I assumed a 24 hour technology/media would be like and I was scared. I couldn’t check FACEBOOK. I couldn’t watch FOOTBALL. I couldn’t watch NETFLIX. What is a millennial to do?

I’m not the most emotional person but, man, do I enjoy a good hug. I have missed USC dearly and I’m so excited that second semester has started. What have I missed the most? Here’s a complete list. Now, some of these things are inanimate object so they might not be the comfiest to hug. But try anyways.

Finding a job nowadays is a full-time job within itself and just because we have USC on our resumes doesn’t mean getting hired is as simple as filling out a job application. As much as I’d love to say all major companies handpick graduates from USC, that simply isn’t true. USC is a great university to learn, grow and emerge into the working world from for a number of reasons; however, getting a high-paying job handed to you as you receive your diploma at graduation is not one of them. There is good reasoning behind why some grads are receiving offers of employment.

Unfortunately, our winter break is almost coming to an end. With all of our holidays over and the new year beginning, going back to USC is inevitable and a fun challenge awaiting us. But, alas, it is bittersweet. Winter Break is a great way to destress after the fall semester and I have created a list for y’all to make sure your winter break ends with a bang.

1. Google Calendar: If you don’t already use this wonder, do so immediately. Although it sucks initially having to input everything you need to do, scheduling in repeats will take care of that for you. I usually color code events by Class, Work Study, Internship, Club 1, Club 2, Miscellaneous, and Tests. This way, each week I feel a little more secure glancing forward and getting a general idea of what I need to accomplish, and what takes most priority…
