Take a Hike

By: Grace Carballo ‘17

Do it for the fresh air (do you even remember what that tastes/feels like?), do it to challenge yourself, do it to meet some rad new people, do it to get to know some of USC’s best and brightest professors outside the classroom, do it for the insta… I’m not going to get hung up on your intentions, so long as you take a hike with Peaks and Professors.

About Jason

By: Jason Cheng ‘17

In the legendary 2001 cinematic masterpiece, Zoolander, Ben Stiller’s male model persona sums up my existential purpose. With San Diego being close to my hometown of Las Vegas, the plans were set and my family was going to watch our Trojans fight against the Cornhuskers.

A Life-Changing Winter Break in India

By: Linda Chow ‘15

Traveling and teaching in the slums of India is definitely a memorable way to spend your winter break. The Alternative Winter Break India program enables students to travel to a foreign country and volunteer, while immersing themselves in an unfamiliar culture. When people think of India, the first things that come to mind are probably Bollywood movies and dancing, saris, Indian food, and elephants. However, if there is anything I learned from my experience abroad, there is so much more to India than meets the eye.
