Where's the Free Food At?
By: Hannah Kim ‘15
One of the hardest parts about living on your own (and slowly and painfully becoming an adult) is learning how to feed yourself. Gone are the days when you could open a stocked fridge to leisurely select your meal. In college, it is the unfortunate reality that sometimes you open up your fridge to be greeted by a lone bottle of Sriarcha. And a potato. If you’re lucky.
Getting Off Campus: Automobile Edition
By: Kelly Kinas ‘17
This second part of the “Getting Off Campus” series is for those who are lucky enough to have a car, money for insurance and gas, and enough time to travel around. Not only can you go shopping somewhere other than the pop-up places on Trousdale, you are also pretty popular with your friends if they ever need a ride to the airport.

Water You Up To Tonight?
By: Lauren Brose ‘15
High-fructose corn syrup, fructose, fruit juice concentrates, honey, syrup, corn syrup, sucrose, dextrose…. These are all fancy synonyms for an ingredient we all know too well: sugar. Gatorade, Snapple, soda and fruit juices all contain one or more of the previous empty-calorie sweeteners. Drinking too many sugary drinks can contribute to being overweight or obese as well as a variety of other adverse health effects. It’s addictive, bad for your teeth, has no nutritional value, can lead to diabetes and raises your cholesterol. If you’re looking for a quick way to cut calories or if you’re trying to spruce up your diet, cut out these beverages and substitute it with water.
Popping the College Bubble: Politics Edition
By: Kelly Kinas ‘17
I know that just the word "politics" scares college students. It’s almost too much like the real world. Therefore, we’ll deal with it after graduation. Of course, this is coming from the girl who cried when her 18th birthday was 2 weeks after the cut off date for elections in 2012.
Quick, easy ways to save money in college (without going insane or being called frugal)
By: Lauren Brose ‘15
Like the old cliché that “money cannot buy happiness,” I realize that there is much more to life than wealth. Money certainly isn’t the solution to all of my problems but that doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t a problem I face as a college student who’s entirely dependent on my parents. As much as I appreciate my parents’ generosity of financing my college education, it doesn’t feel right to be wasteful with my finances. Now’s the perfect time to take control of your finances, learn to save here and there and understand the full value of managing and spending money earned.

What brings together the Asian, Black, Latino and LGBT communities Project Remix is the meeting of four cultural centers at USC: Asian Pacific American Student Services (APASS), El Centro Chicano (the Latino Cultural Center), the Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs (CBCSA) and the LGBT Resource Center (LGBT RC).
Are You THAT GIRL?
By: Lauren Brose ‘15
Alexa Trujillo is a current junior studying business with a minor in web technologies and web applications. She has been involved in the Alumni Committee for USG, was a USC Song Girl last year and is an active member of Delta Gamma. Alexa, though beautiful inside and out, faces the same feelings of self-doubt that many girls experience throughout college and their entire lives. She has made it her goal to let go of that negative mindset and to start anew with a club that will empower girls at USC and help them find their inner strength and beauty.
“Take Superman… Actually You Can Have Him”: A Night with Stan Lee
By: Kelly Kinas ‘17
Where to begin with this USC Program Board event? USC Speakers Committee were absolutely fantastic and got the creator of Marvel, creative, hilarious, the man that every student at USC now wants as their grandfather, Stan Lee.
LEAVEY IS NOT YOUR ONLY OPTION
By: Kelly Kinas ‘17
Attention USC students: There are other libraries on campus other than Leavey. While it is the only 24 hour library, when not cramming at 2am, there are multiple others options for undergraduate and graduate students.
